Costa Rica Hotels: Costa Rica National Parks: Costa Rica Visitors Guide    Baldi Hot Springs, located 5 km northwest of La Fortuna provides comfortable scenic gardens and 10 hot pools of varying temperatures. Several different springs feed the pools with the warmth a product of nearby Arenal volcano. Although Tabacon is right down the road, this property is purported to be outside the eruptive danger zone.
   Baldi provides food, drink, spa treatments, and accommodations for Arenal area visitors. The staff are very friendly and discounts are possible from some area hotels.
   This property is not typically as crowded as Tabacon. Although not as ornate or quite as fancy it is still a great experience. There are typically fewer children and it is easier to get the bartender's attention.
