- Government owns first 200 meters of Costa Rica beachfront property
- No construction within 50 meters of ocean
- Special zoning district required for construction within next 150 meters
- 50% of development capital must be Costa Rican
Not all beach property is in the Maritime Zone.
Costa Rica beachfront property destined to be a beach home or non-income producing property should be outside the Maritime zone.
