Costa Rica Provinces Map
Costa Rica is located in Central America south of Nicaragua and north of Panama. It has a total land mass of approximately 19,700 square miles or 51,000 square kilometers.
The Costa Rica detailed map shown below displays the mountain ranges subdividing the country. Notice that the mountain ranges begin in the northwest and virtually surround the capital city San Jose.

On the Pacific side ( left side of map ) Quepos and Golfito (far south) are popular fishing locations.
Further north Playa Dominical (playa means beach) is a popular little surfing town. Manuel Antonio park is close to Quepos and is a popular attraction containing interesting flora and other activities.
Wonderful beaches for sunning and general enjoyment are found everywhere.
The Caribbean side of the Costa Rica detailed map includes the port city of Puerto Limon,Playa Cahuita, Puerto Viejo, and Manzanillo which are popular scenes for beach enjoyment with a Jamaican flare.
