Great surf not for beginners with a steep right.

Options
Fly to San Jose and drive (3 hrs) or fly (40 minutes) to Puerto Limon.
Rustic accommodations and plenty of secluded beaches and break options can be found. Puerto Viejo is south of Limon a short distance on a paved but bumpy road.

North Pacific surfing in Costa Rica

All year long but December - March ideal
