 The Ocotal Beach Resort is right on the beach situated in a calm blue water cove surrounded by forested hills. This is a great place for a secluded beach vacation. Coco, a small town 5 minutes away provides banking, shopping, and some additional restaurant choices.The property is spread out on a steeply inclined hill providing beach front rooms and beautiful views of the Papagayo Gulf and Ocotal cove at higher elevations. The even numbered rooms provide the easiest access to the smaller pools situated around the property. The main pool area provides a swim up bar, hot tub, and a nice lounge area for sunning and relaxation.  Playa Ocotal is just south of Playas del Coco in Guanacaste Costa Rica. Ocotal is a pretty, secluded gray sand beach with moderately calm conditions. The beach is a 3k flat cove that is easy to walk with rocky areas on both ends that include tide pools. Diving and sport fishing is based here with many variety of fish making the rock reef home.All rooms at the Ocotal Beach Resort include air conditioning, king or queen sized beds, cable tv, coffee maker, private terrace or balcony, and large well equipped bathrooms. The walls have been reported to be a bit thin. The oldest rooms are at beach level but are in good condition. A shuttle is available for transportation up and down the incline of the facility for beach, pool, or restaurant access.
