Costa Rica Hotels: Costa Rica Beaches: Costa Rica Surfing

Early morning in Tamarindo before the traffic and noise begins. The main street is cobblestone but others are dirt roads with various shops, restaurants, bars, and banks operating each day. One of the most popular Costa Rica beaches is only a few yards away.

This is a fun beach to watch people, learn to surf, jog, or just chill. During tourist season it can be quite crowded with many different types of people. The water is warm year round.

All types of people can be found on Playa Tamarindo. Young and old people exercising, a family enjoying the sun and waves, and of course locals selling their products. The dogs love the Costa Rica beaches too!

Tamarindo even has a lifeguard on duty. Not a common thing in Costa Rica. The neighboring beaches are less crowded. Playa Langosta is the second picture and Playa Grande is the last. Langosta is an easy drive. To reach Grande take an $.80 boat ride rather than the tough roundabout drive.
